5 things you can do during quarantine as a Henna Artist

With the pandemic happening around us, the safest way to fight it is to keep our hygiene clean and also be socially responsible. And for us to do that, we are advised to stay at home. (The best time for us to bond with our family!)

Well, being cooped up at home for a long period of time could be boring for most of us! Especially when your Henna Appointments are being postpone or cancelled (and when you run out of shows to watch on Netflix). :(

So what can you do at home for a Henna Artist? Here are the 5 things that you can do!

1. PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!

We've been too busy with our daily lives that sometimes sitting down, picking up a cone to practice the basic drills would be an extremely difficult task to complete. NOW IS THE TIME! With ample time on our hands, let us practice on our henna skills and learn new elements and motifs from online henna videos and live streams from other henna artist from around the world.

2. WATCH HENNA VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE AND INSTAGRAM

If you're looking for inspirational time lapse and real time mode videos of simple to intricate designs to start your henna drawing journey, avenues like Instagram and YouTube is the right place for you! Visit our YouTube Channel and Instagram ! (Don't forget to Subscribe/follow! <3)

Also, you can check out other Henna Artist like Fauzellaartistry, Devi Mehndi, Mehndika Joey Henna, SyraSkins, Atlanta Henna Studio, Aza Henna Art , Mehndi By Hayat and more!

3. LEARN HOW TO MIX YOUR OWN HENNA PASTE

With all of the henna practicing done at home, surely we will need more henna cones. Instead of purchasing henna cones, this is the best time for you to learn how to mix your own henna paste! Check out our previous post on Henna Mixing. Once you have started to mix your own henna paste, you will love it!

4. CREATE HENNA TUTORIALS VIDEOS

Having fun watching other henna artist tutorials? Then its your turn to create one! All you need is a camera phone, tripod , a good lighting and you're good to go! Use this quarantine period to build up your portfolio as a Henna Artist with fun henna tutorials or live streaming videos for others to learn and recreate from you.

5. CONNECT WITH YOUR FELLOW HENNA ARTIST AND FOLLOWERS

This is the time where people need love and support the most to get through this together. Let us as Henna Artist support one another and encourage everyone to stay strong in this fearful period. Get to know your fellow henna artists and followers more by posting questionnaires on your Insta Story, sliding some love and motivation into their DMs, or go into live streaming and just simply getting to know them from there!

In Singapore currently we are under the Circuit Breaker Period and hopefully we would not need to extend! I hope everyone else is safe and healthy in their own homes. Sending my love to each and everyone of you!

God speed!
